There have been many lazy days on the couch spent watching Vampire Fiction workouts lately where I’ve been more “over it” than “into it.”
I probably spend more time making EX-cuses than actually EX-ercising. (Bahahazz)
(“Well you’ve certainly exercised your mouth, Cher.”)
And on days when I literally spent the whole workout farting around (ie today, when I devoted half my strength training to blathering about how if I had LESS ass and thigh to haul up and down, I’d have MORE pull-up to brag about), I can generally expect to be humbled fairly swiftly in one way or another.
Today, this new Steve’s Club video hit me like an overstretched resistance band.
I’m so proud to work as a Steve’s Club Ambassador, helping to spread the word about the Steve’s Club National Program mission to provide athletic training and mentorship to at-risk youth – in Camden, NJ (one of the most dangerous cities in the nation) and across the country.
I am at the Steve’s Club National Program offices frequently, and I get to see these kids working out all the time. They are great kids. I truly couldn’t be more impressed with them. These kids are the reason I want everybody on the planet to buy Paleo Kits – because they help fund Steve’s Club National Program. (In fact, the original Paleo Kit was made to provide these kids with a healthy meal that could travel with them anywhere.)
Anyhow, here’s a video about some of my favorite youths (or “yoots”). I about cried watching this. Well worth the watch, especially if you’re like me and need to…well…get over yourself and start aiming a little higher.
(And bonus points to anyone who identifies the two movie quotes in this post.)

Clueless; My Cousin Vinny.
Great Post. Great Story. Great Cause. And Paleo Kits and Bars are awesome
Clueless and My Cousin Vinnie, ftw.
