“That was the hardest workout of my entire life, and…It was fun. I’d like to do it again.”
“I lost 45 pounds…it was the hardest month ever. But I got better at it, and now I’ve got a 400 pound deadlift, and can do every single advanced workout…”
I’m passionate about the mission of Steve’s Club National Program. I talk about it more here. Part of the reason I love Paleo Kits and Steve’s Original products so much (besides the fact that they’re delicious, Paleo-friendly, and travel-perfect) is because sales support the mission of this fantastic non-profit. I see these kids often, and they’re truly spectacular. They work harder than I’ve ever worked in my life at anything.
You know that quote from Clueless where Cher tells Tai that they “should do something good for mankind, or the planet for a couple of hours?” * Welp, Steve’s Club has done Cher one better and chosen to do something good for these kids on a daily basis. And the results are clear: Steve’s Club works.
This video gave me chills a million times over. Several young adults from the original Steve’s Club in Camden, NJ are taking on leadership roles in the second Steve’s Club location in their city. They took the time and made the effort to become certified coaches, and now they’re paying it forward. How cool is that?
I’ll be at the Paleo Kits/Steve’s Club booth at the CrossFit Games this weekend. Stop by, say hi, grab a Paleo Kit and learn more.
* “How d’ya know if you’re doin’ it sporadically?”
